To fulfill the need for a unit which is easy to install and
to run, and is at the same time economical, the EKO-AQUA
TREAT unit has been produced. This is a single, self-contained
chemical water treatment unit, which enables the wastewater
to be re-used after it has been treated. Almost 80% of used
water can be re-used. Treated water then passes through an active
carbon filter, which has an automatic device for backwash washing.
This process completes the treatment, removing any residual
traces of pollution, before the water passes on.
The dirty water is pumped from the drainage pit to the unit
itself, which is formed of two tanks, one on the top of other;
one of these is sectioned for treating the water and one is
an accumulation tank. There is an incorporated removable filter
where the sediment is deposited. While the water is being transferred
to the upper tank, the flocculent product necessary for the
treatment is added to it. The clean water, passes down the second
tank, then through an active carbon filter to the discharge
or reuse. The sediment is periodically extracted from the bottom
of the upper tank through a pneumatic valve and is left to deposit
in the gravity filter device, which can be taken out and emptied.
